How we care for the environment should be a part of all our everyday lives. One way to start thinking about our impact on the environment – our personal footprint – is to carry out an audit of our daily activities to see how we might reduce our effect.

One of the ways we can do that is by using a footprint calculator. Some of these can be quite complicated but the one produced by WWF is straightforward and will give you some idea about your personal impact. http://footprint.wwf.org.uk

Try reusing and repurposing materials creatively instead of always recycling or disposing of them. Instead of buying new, share tools or borrow more than 100 tools and appliances such as carpet cleaners, thermal imaging cameras (to spot heat loss around your home) for free from the Guildford Library of Things (run by Surrey CC and Carbon Zero Guildford)  https://www.zerocarbonguildford.org/library-of-things
